The officer who is attached to Busia police station also confirmed the deceased was not ailing at the time of his death.

“My husband collapsed and died just like that. He was not sick and did not complain of anything prior to the incident,” she told TUKO

The two lovers solemnised their union on Sunday, August 18 2019, in front of friends and family at Our Lady of Grace and Compassion Primary School Matayos constituency.

Street kids were among those Doris had invited to witness her exchange vows with her lover.

“I don’t see anything extraordinary to invite these good friends of mine on such a memorable day in my life.

They are normal human beings just facing challenges back at home that push them to the streets,” she said after the nuptials.

The officer is celebrated for embracing street urchins whom she feeds and takes care of as her own using her salary.

Facebook In a country where the police department is battling a litany of corruption and extra-judicial killings allegations, it is definitely a rare sight to see Doris break from the norm.

Our condolences to her.
