An APRC militant has allegedly been arrested by the police for rigging the voting ballot box in Bakau, a reliable source relayed in a short and precise message sent to Gambiano.Net.
The militant whose name wasn’t disclosed apparently stuffed the hole of the ballot box of Assan Touray with chewing gum. It was quickly detected by the voting officials who notified the authorities on site and they quickly snatched the APRC militant away to book him on criminal arrest. We are not sure how severe this offense is under Gambian law, but we suspect it will not be taken lightly.
In other developments, voter turnouts in Lamin, Kunkujang, and several other constituencies continue to be crucially low, and it seems to be affecting the APRC candidates more so than the rest of the other running parties.
